PRODUCT OVERVIEW & KEY ADVANTAGES Ultra-Early Takeoff & Sinking Support: Generates immediate lift at low speeds, letting you pop up effortlessly in light breeze or with minimal canopy pull.Advanced Multi-Profile Chord Geometry: Features a dramatic transition in profile thickness and chord from the center to the tips—maximizing pitch stability while eliminating high-speed drag.Blunt Tip Safety Architecture: Engineered with rounded, non-pointed wingtips that actively reduce injury risk during falls or handling, while funneling boundary-layer turbulence to increase virtual wingspan.True Multi-Discipline Machine: Engineered specifically to excel across Parawing, Downwind swells, and Dockstart/Pumping without changing your setup. TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS The Freemove Paradigm ShiftWhen Balz Müller wanted to expand his daily routine into Parawing and Downwind swell riding, he needed a foil that offered instant takeoff and effortless energy retention, yet remained forgiving and easy to handle. The Blackbird 1155 delivers high-end hydrodynamic efficiency packed into an accessible, pitch-stable outline suitable for riders of all levels.Multi-Profile Flow ManagementBy engineering a progressive profile variation along the wingspan, the R&D team concentrated volume in the center section for low-speed support and stability. Towards the outer panels, the profile thins out dynamically, dumping drag and allowing smooth acceleration into fast glide phases. Focus Vortex Tip Design & SafetyThe wingtip geometry channels boundary-layer turbulence into a single controlled point. This delivers two crucial performance benefits: a drastic reduction in drag and an increased „virtual wingspan” for maximum pump efficiency. Most importantly, the rounded, blunt outline eliminates sharp edges—offering total peace of mind during aggressive carves or accidental impacts. BALZ MÜLLER’S VERDICT“The original Balz Pro line is my reference for pure Freestyle and Wave. But when I started spending more time with Parawings and hunting for small bumps, I wanted a wing that felt super easy from the very first stroke, yet allowed me to draw completely new lines. The 1155 gives you instant lift and endless glide, with the extra confidence of rounded tips when things get wild.”Balz Müller
